Earth hour was quite nice.. even though Halifax is small, the place where i work in the mall dim their lights around 8-9pm.. which was awsome... it was not too bright in the mall.. and in the store im working in, we were almost in the dark, only 1 computer was running, the other one was shut down.. my boss told me that at their place, they only had candle.. and she quite enjoyed that.. it was very relaxing.

Last year in Sydney they saved over 10%... I know for soem of you doesnt seem like alot but.. seriously.. if you don't see the climate changing, then you guyz need to get real O.o;;

I think this was a great event and should happen more than once.. to make something good of our planet..

Any of you guyz participated in this event?

That's awesome that the mall dimmed the lights! I was out at a restaurant and they did the same. Even turned off one of the tv's! One stayed on though, since it there was a hockey game on. But they did dim the lights at the arena before the game.

I really hope Earth Hour was a big success!

It should happen more often, maybe other people will realize this too :3 A candlelight party sounds really awesome!
Kev and I are actually pretty good about energy use, we never have the lights on XD And always unplug things we aren't using.

We didn't do anything like that unfortunately. Not that I think we alone are to blame for climate change. The planet is changing all the time, and there were ice ages and the like long before we started pumping out smog and pollution. Not that I'm saying we're blameless though.

I heard about Erupoe not doing it but hey.. who knows.. hehe.. like I believe that Las begas would never shut down their lights.. I think for them it would be the end of life.. but I agree with you with the ice age and about climate changing.. but we really didn't help the problem, we just made it worse ^_^;;
